What did you watch instead of the Oscars?

God, I feel old. All the choices!

The first Oscar show I watched was the year Gigi won (something, not sure what, maybe movie?).

Anyway, according to Wikipedia, in 1955, on Sunday nights at 7 p.m., you could watch Pepsi-Cola Playhouse, Jack Benny, Mr. Peepers, and Opera Cameos on PBS (which probably wasn’t even called PBS back then).

Me, too.

I didn’t watch TV. Sunday night is family night - we played cards. My daughter whipped us all, badly.

Darn kids.

Shodan

I watched Netflix DVDs: MST3K Swamp Diamonds --early Roger Corman, really really campy. And Jeeves & Wooster – it makes me laugh my head off.

I curled up with a cup of cocoa, a snoring dog and Heart Shaped Box, the nifty new novel by Joe Hill (Stephen King’s kid). The main character buys a ghost off the internet. What’s not to love?
