Wendys Taco Salad I enjoyed them for 20 years. Then one day they were gone.
Mercury. I loved Mercuries. Why did they go away? My poor man’s Lincoln.
Knorrs Black Pepper sauce. Not the one with the icky whole peppercorns, this was just a strong black pepper flavored sauce.
Campbell Chunky Clam Chowder the way it USED to be. WTF have they done to it? All sweet and disgusting now.
Volvo station wagons. Proper, boxy wagons with huge storage capacity, not a “sportwagon.”
Entenmann’s fudge-iced, cream-filled cupcakes.
Costco’s bakery coffee cake muffins.
Ditto, if you mean the same thing as Carnation Breakfast Bars (they may have gone under alternate names regionally).
I was very cross when they stopped making Flex shampoo; you can get a version of it in Europe, but it’s not the same at all. Flex and then Teen Spirit had versions for fine hair that were one of the few things I could use on my hair that didn’t make it look clumpy or greasy.
Pantene in the US seems to have fiddled with its formula in the past year or so, especially in the conditioner.
Kool-aid Invisible Cherry unsweetened packets.
Can buy it pre-sugared, in a tub, but it’s not what I want.
Thankfully, my kid has outgrown the spill stage, so it’s almost safe to buy colored Kool-aid.
Oh My Goodness YES!!!
iPod Classic.
Norton motorcycles. I know the brand name has been revived, but they are not the same. (I’ll bet they don’t even leak oil when new, in the show room.)
Having a new Harry Potter book to read each Fall.
Andes Ting-a-lings.
Jujubes. Those tiny, hard gel candies. The only thing I would buy at the movie theater.
Green apple Jolly Ranchers. The real thing. I don’t know what they’ve done with the flavor, but they’re just not the same.
Russian dressing salad dressing. Thousand island seems to have pushed the Russian dressing off the shelves.
My wife’s family was huge fans of this, and they claim the the Kroger house brand sells a Creamy Italian that is nearly the same thing. If you find yourself in Dallas, pop in and grab a bottle, or a case.
Genuine Merrimints.
Danish-go-rounds.
Shake-a-pudding.
Seven up bars.
Ginger Altoids.
Loco sodas.
Chicken dinner candy.
Studebakers.
Raspberry-flavored Quaker Oats Instant Oatmeal.
Also, Under Cover Bears Instant Oatmeal.
Jello 1-2-3. Jello and whipped topping all at once.
Heinz made a ketchup back in the 80s that had chopped onion in it. It was only around for a brief time. I don’t know if it was just being test marketed or sales were bad, but I liked it and I miss it.
McDonalds once offered apple-cinnamon oatmeal and blueberry oatmeal in the mornings. The blueberry oatmeal was fantastic.
I saw Jujubes at the dollar store last week.
