I have an HP 648C printer that I wanted to connect to my laptop except I cannot as yet find the install CD. I already had it hooked to my desktop before getting my laptop. What are my options, if any?
Drivers and Downloads
Or, more to the point:
You can download the drivers directly from the HP website. Here is the link directly to the HP648C Printer driver page. That’s if you just need the drivers. If you want the whole CD-ROM, use this link and they’ll send you a CD (and charge you only the cost of Shipping & Handling). It looks like it’ll cost about $10 for regular shipping, or you can pay extra and have it FedEx’d to you.
I should add that that second link I provided is for ordering the CD-ROM for PCs. If you have a Mac, follow the links through the first link I provided.
Thank you, everybody, for your help. As I type this, the printer is printing out a test page. Looks like everything’s A-OK.
What operating system? Most have the drivers for this printer already.
handy, it’s Win XP and yes, it looks like the drivers were already included. Thanks for your help.
twit, I have that printer too. I found a refill kit on ebay for it. I got 4 bottles of 4oz of ink each & stuff to put it in the carts for about $20.00 That’s enough ink to last forever. If you want cheap ink, that’s one idea.
Wow, handy! Sounds like you got a very good deal out of that ebay purchase. Thanks for the errr… handy information.
