The question was “What do they have in common?” It was not “How can you tell that they’re exactly the same thing?”

That said, it was a pretty provocative OP.
They both appeal to the most radical elements in their areas.
How about “They are the only two entities that know and honestly proclaim arab muslims’ true savagery, motivation, and intentions?” As opposed to ‘What do militant islamists and CNN have in common?’ **Everything **(because they’re on the same side!)
