Zenster, I had a Pyewackett once, too. He had this peculiar habit of crawling up on my chest, lounging about and purring for a while, then crawling closer to my face, licking my nose once, twice, thrice, then nipping it with his so-sharp teeth. This behaviour is now known as pyewacketting.
Current cats are Sake and Sushi (roommate named them, leave me alone :)). I don’t have extra formal names for them (mostly just use “cat” as a suffix), but do tend to sing to them a lot. tdc has taken to doing the same and every morning greets them by singing
What’s up Sushi-cat, WHOA-WHOA
Strangely, Sake-cat sang back to him earlier this week.
[sub]Upon preview: Wow, what gratuitous use of smilies. Spank me.[/sub]

Nazir Din is so named because he is a Persian. If memory serves, his namesake is a Persian fairy/tall-tale character. “Bin Rumii” come from that (my) Nazir Din’s sire was named Rumii.
Nazir Din’s: Endearment: Big Guy. He’s big. And strong. He weighs in at nearly 20 pounds, with little fat. Negative Term: He has not earned one yet.
Titus is Nazir Din’s son. Both are orange with light tabby markings. Titus got his name because because as a kitten he had a wierd slant to his eyes from his Persian/mongrel heritage. With his orange fur, if you looked at his face straight on, Titus looked like Christopher Titus’ brother Dave on the show Titus. (Even though Dave has a different father and is not a “Titus” as such, we though Titus was better name than Dave. But the resemblance was still uncanny.)
Titus’: Endearment: Little Guy (he is the junior cat, after all), Freak. Description: Attention Whore. This is kinda why I call him Freak. He likes attention of any kind. Pick him up, hang him by his back feet, and scratch his belly. He’s okay with that. Negative Honorific: He has not yet earned one either.
After The Accident: Trio/Tripod (but only by nasty people who weren’t interested in sparing the poor little thing’s feelings)
Positive Honorific: KitBit
Negative Honorific: She knows she’s been bad when we call her ‘Rio’, but she doesn’t care
Endearment: Little Laaarve, Tiny No-Leg
Theme song: Her Name is Rio (Duran Duran - quite embarrassing now I come to think of it…)
*My teenage brother
NB: Whichever name you use when calling her, Rio will give you one scathing glance, then either turn her back or start licking herself in the most socially unacceptable place she can think of.
