What do you do with a fork? (a story)

Dinnertime was almost at hand, and so I went to get some silverware. “Stabby, stabby,” I thought to myself, as I reached out to get a knife. Then I reached for a spoon as the words “scoopy, scoopy” passed through my mind. As I reached towards the forks, my mind went blank. After being dumbfounded for a moment, I surveyed the three pieces of silverware in my hand. The knife caught my attention once more. “Slicey, slicey.” I was happy again.

That’s my mundane and pointless story (and it’s based on a true story!). Now, my question for you is: what should I have thought as I reached for that fork?

pokey pokey

Jabby, jabby?

“Stick a fork in 'im, he’s done” ?

I s’pose “forky, forky” is out of the question?

tiney tiney

I can’t help thinking “spork”, it just sounds better than “fork”.

How about “Quit with the stupid words and give me my fork, I’m hungry!”

A mind is a terrible thing to waste?
