what do you like to see in your Santas?

I’ve committed to playing Santa in public this saturday and I need some advice. I’ve never been Santa before and I don’t want to ruin anyone’s Christmas by doing a bad job of it.

What have you liked about “mall Santas” (although I won’t be in a mall; it’s a small bakery) and what have you really not liked about them?

I’m a bit extra nervous because I’m only 21 years old, and though I’ve been a performer all my life I’m not completely sure how to best portray an old man.

Huh. I never thought of Santa as an old man, in spite of the white hair and beard. More like a big uncle, or a friendly school principal.
