What do you think my car is worth?

This past weekend someone left a note on my window that said “I want to buy your mini van, call me” I called, we talked, I wasn’t really in the market to sell just yet but figured I’d sieze the opportunity if the price was right. It wasn’t. My husband chastised me for being a sap saying their must be an ulterior motive since my minivan is really not in great shape and looks like a POS (I rarely wash it)

Anyway, I’ve been checking stuff out on Edmunds.com and Kelly Blue Book and they say my van, if sold to an individual, could be worth about $2100. But I think that’s a very optimistic price. What do you think dopers? Can I really get $2K + for my minivan?

1995 Nissan Quest, 176K Miles. A/C doesn’t work but mechanically it runs fine. New tires and brakes (this past summer) paint job has scratches and dings but no rust. Regular checkups and oil changes and scheduled maintenance. I’ve got most of the paperwork from stuff that’s been done to it.

Here’s the list of weird little stuff that’s wrong with it.

The rear door lock doesn’t work at all and if you lock the driver side door it won’t unlock so essentially the van doesn’t lock.

When you open the rear door (it swings up) the door liner sags until you pop it back into place.

The CD player is held in place by a wad of paper. The faceplate won’t seat properly since someone broke in and tried to steal it last year.

Sometimes, it will start without the key by just turning the thing the key fits into. You have to make sure when you take the key out to leave it in just the right position so that won’t happen.

The gas tank will no longer open by just hitting the lever by the driver’s seat, you have to press the little door at the same time you hit the lever which is a pain and requires a pretty good reach.

Sometimes the windshield washer squirts, sometimes it doesn’t. But the wipers work just fine.

What do you think dopers? Can I really get $2100 for this heap?

Sure, why not? If the potential buyer is interested, what’s stopping you?
Just let them know all the ‘little things’ that are wrong with it. I’d hate to try and figure out why the gas door won’t open!
