Me too. I’m surprised at the people who say they normally sleep naked, but not in a hotel or at a friend/relative’s house. The hotel thing is just strange, but what’s the big deal if you’re in somebody’s guest room?
I see your point if you’re sleeping on a couch or some cot in the living room.
My body rejects clothing while it sleeps. If I try to sleep wearing anything, I will wake up in the morning with it all cast to the floor. Boxers or briefs will be kicked off and bunched up under the covers at the bottom of the bed.
This happens no matter where I sleep. Hotel, friend’s house, sacked out on the sofa, anywhere.
It really varies. Often I sleep naked, though if I’m feeling a bit cold going to bed I’ll put on a tee-shirt, and if I’m still cold after laying in bed a couple minutes I’ll put on pajama bottoms (no underwear, usually.) When I do wear clothing to bed, I often wake up in the middle of the night feeling hot and strip it all off.
How come you always seem to show up in threads involving nudity? :dubious:
If it’s warm, usually just underwear (boxer-briefs)
If it’s cold, underwear and a tee-shirt
Once in a while a pair of loose and baggy flannel pajama-type pants (though I just ripped my only good pair, so none of that until I replace them)
Plus I just got a super-comfy bathrobe, so once in a while I’ll wear that. It’s usually a bit too warm though.
As for hotels -
bleached linens make me itchy. Really itchy. Doesn’t matter if it’s a white tee I bleached at home or hotel sheets.
And they bleach the hell out of hotel sheets.
So I usually wear way more clothing to sleep in a hotel, just to keep me from spending the next day scratching all over.
The damn bleached pillows irritate my face too, so I always break out like I’m 14 again when I travel.
I really don’t like hotel linens.
Almost allways t-shirts (sweatshirts if it’s really cold) and lounge/jammy pants. Socks are a must! Even if I’m sleeping naked with a partner, I’ve got to wear socks; even in the dead of summer. Don’t know why.
What an awesome username/post combination!
I wear a shirt because my shoulders get cold. But nothing else, normally.
What if someone knocks or something before you go to bed?
I have matching stripey pajamas that I usually wear, but if those are in the laundry, sweatpants and a T-shirt.
Some combination of the following:
Lightly worn t shirt/undershirt/long sleeve waffle shirt/no shirt
AND
Boxer briefs/no undies
AND
Athletic shorts/pajama pants/no pants
I chose “shirt and underwear” assuming that shirt could mean T-shirt as opposed to night shirt. I know it’s incredibly paranoid, but I don’t want to have to run out of a burning house naked. That just seems like the ultimate humiliation–standing naked while watching your house burn. So I wear night clothes in preparation of the unfortunate and hopefully unlikely event that my house catches fire.
I was still able to get myself dressed before disposing of a 3am intruder.
I can’t sleep naked, my junk always seems to be needing rearranged and bothers me.
This is just the kind of poll where you want public ballots, I think. Just for future reference.
I think for me it’s a combination of all of the above… sometimes I’m naked, sometimes I’m wearing a nightie, sometimes just underwear. Depends on the weather and my mood.
Well, after reading the responses to this poll, I’m glad they bleach the hell out of hotel linens. Sickos.
I am surprised that so many guys sleep nude. When I’m tossing and turning, the last thing I need is flipping and flopping. Plus, I don’t have to wash my sheets as often as you nudies.
I don’t see what difference it makes, assuming you don’t have continence issues.
You don’t see the difference between a naked ass and one encased in underwear and pyjama bottoms? Seriously? Unless you’re hopping from the shower to the bed each night, those sheets are going to be seriously funky after a week. It’s the difference between borrowing your friend’s pants and his underwear.
