What does this emblem represent

I tried Google but didn’t get anywhere. I found this while strolling through the woods.

It’s kind of cool, but who knows what evil I might be promoting if I sew it to my backpack!?

Looks like a Boy Scout patch showing the recipient hiked a particular trail. Google your location, or where you found it, and “rattlesnake trail.” Then hike it before putting it on your pack. We don’t want any Stolen Glory here!

Oh, goodness! Looks like White SIFL will need to do a lot more than walk 25 miles to wear that patch!

I love how you got your answer in ten minutes!

I also love the look on your cat’s face. I don’t think he likes the snake picture.

Well shoot! I guess I can’t put it on my pack after all. And it’s such a cool design. Thanks Greasy. Very nice work.

kayT, the cat doesn’t like a lot of things. She is known around here as She Who Disapproves.
EDIT: I think “Move, Strike, Destroy” might become my new motto though.

Huh. I was going to suggest a Sun Serpent, from one of the southwestern tribes. I suppose that might be where the military unit got the idea from, though Idaho is rather north for it.

Uh, 14 minutes. I swear, the Straight Dope Message Board must be in a period of decline these days.

Let’s not start with these cat photos, please!

By the way, if you aren’t gonna use it, put it on ebay. I guarantee it will sell.

I didn’t know you could put a cat on Ebay.

I thought it was craigslist for pussy?

He’s already got his own Etsy account.
