I had aphaisa while entering my username, and it didn’t get accepted. I thought typing “node out” would help correct the problem, but there’s that homonym thing.

Or it could be the S in “S. N. Faulkner”.
I’m a bass player and I play music that can be described as “Jump Music”, that is, retro swing, rockabilly and dixieland. It’s also an awkward thing to say out loud, but not as awkward as saying “snfaulkner”.
(Off subject- I signed in to post this, but now I can’t see anyone’s avatars. I went to the User CP, but can’t find how to turn it on. How do I do that?)

Mine means "Don’t get drunk and hold a “Rename The Moderator” contest.
Nickname I had as a kid because I was a good athlete, but very quiet, given to me by William Faulkner, a distant relative of S.N.
Bullitt, because as a kid I was a fan of the movie and his Ford Mustang (1968 fastback), I lived in San Francisco and have driven on the streets of the chase scene, and because Steve McQueen is a US Marine.

I’m alpine spelled backwards. Alpine was the name of my first dog. And, I live up high in the mountains. An alpine environment.
Crossed paths now and then with a guy who had an aluminum upright and used to play it while standing on the side and rocking it both literally and figuratively. I always pictured him when I read your name.
