You know, the show where they did extensive cosmetic surgery on people? Was it litigated out of existence?
I only watched a couple episodes, but I’ve wondered about it too. I found one article about a lawsuit – a candidate’s sister committed suicide after the sister was scheduled to be remade and then the show decided not to do it.
I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did. The “extreme” part was what I didn’t understand – major surgery, with all the possible complications and people not being happy with the result.
Regular makeovers are more fun to watch – new haircuts and makeup – that’s enough for many people to look and feel 100% better, and it’s within reach of most viewers. The extreme stuff wasn’t all that appealing to me.
