What Ever Happened to Marge's Father on the "Simposons"?

I have been following TV’s “the Simpsons” pretty much right from the beginning. To-date, there have only been a couple I have missed. But there is one thing I have wondering for a while now: whatever happened to Marge Simpson’s father?

I know Homer’s mother was a 1960’s counterculture radical, presently on the run from the authorities. Before that Homer’s father apparently just told him she died or something. But what about Marge’s father? Marge’s mother and Homer’s father almost married once. So clearly Marge’s father must be out of the picture in some way. But was there ever explanation given why?

Just wondering.

Well, he was a airline steward which caused Marge to have a fear of flying. Don’t know what became of him, though.

He liked Homer better than Artie Ziff. He said when Homer showed up to take Marge to prom, it “took years off [his] life.”

Just helping you piece together the life of Mr. Bouvier.

The only information given on the official simpsons website is that…

http://www.snpp.com/guides/castlist.html

Well, that’s all well and good for the Simpsons, but I think it’s clear he’s asking for information on the Simposons.

While snpp.com is an excellent site, I don’t think that it’s the official site; that distinction belongs to thesimpsons.com.

Whoops, you are correct, apparently I Bookmarked it under the wrong name. :smack:

Since most of the stuff on there has the episode it appeared on listed right after it, not being official doesn’t hurt its credibility IMO.

But point noted anyway.

otto3883, that’s what happens when you like to get blotto

Actually, he was eaten by Homer Kong, remember?

I assumed Marge’s mother ate him, like any other praying mantis.
