Good: lake trout cheeks, fried. Seriously. Trout and salmon are good and pretty similar.
I haven’t really had a fish I’ve hated (at least after childhood). I’ve had bland tilapia, never “bad” though. Sardines are good but anchovies are for special occasions, bad breath and it’s a strong taste. Especially with sardines, there’s something visceral that makes me feel like an 8 year old boy to munch down fish spines with gusto. I agree, grouper is overrated.
For me, sushi ranges from good to okay. I’m not sure I’d rush out to eat uni again (not a fish), but otherwise it’s all pretty good.
I looked up swai. “Iridescent shark”! Oh… shark in the sense that the aquarium fish are called sharks. It’s a catfish.
