What food makes your cat crazy?

Fixed link.

Aside from her own normal food (she gets a mix of Blue Buffalo and FROMM), my cat only likes Whisker Lickens. She has little to no interest in people food except for chicken occasionally, and completely ignores any other brand of treats.

One cat here that loves cantelope flesh & one that loves strawberry calyx.

Our cat goes nuts whenever she smells garlic. She also likes popcorn and potato chips. She at one time got up to 14 pounds until I told my husband to curtail her people food…

Cleo (RIP) was a nutter for McDonalds French fries. She never really meowed, but if she smelled McD’s, she would do this weird chirping/growling thing and stalk us until we gave in. Once she would get a fry, she would “my precious” that thing into mush.
Her house buddy Bernie caused me to keep all bread behind bars. Didn’t matter what kind of bread, if it wasn’t put away, it was hers. More than a few times, we would forget and come home to a loaf scattered around the floor.

Now we have Dot, the ice cream queen. She is currently residing with my mom, who decided cats don’t need ice cream. Poor Dot. I do bring those itty bitty containers of Hagan Daz when I go over and give her some. She also loves fresh green beans and frozen raspberries.
Mayme, the current cat in charge here, loves donut holes. Especially if they’re covered in cinnamon sugar. She’ll give you puss n’ boots eyes until you give her a small piece. One night, I forgot to put the container on the counter. It was under a bunch of blankets, so I figured she wouldn’t find it. Silly me. She dug it out and dragged it across the house, into my bedroom, howling the whole time. She also must have fresh spinach and lettuce.
However, both Dot and Mayme will not eat fresh meat. Cooked, raw, doesn’t matter.

thanks for the fix!

I had forgotten about Samwise Gryffindor, who loved potatoes and avocado. And the petals from a lily that wilted and fell on the floor. :frowning: RIP Little Sammy Boy.

Cantaloupe. And Nacho Doritos.

Milkdud’s drug of choice was cantaloupe. He would scarf that stuff down like there was no tomorrow and no bottom to his stomach. We quickly learned that we had to limit his intake or he would regurgitate it and (yuck) start eating it again.

All my other cats have ignored it.

she has been gone for years now but I used to have a cat named Tina Louise who was crazy about asparagus.

Smokey, the cat I grew up with, got up on the kitchen counter one night, opened the package, and ate the top off an angel food cake.

Oddly our cat that went nuts over watermelon couldn’t have cared less over cantaloupe.

But a friend of ours had a cat that went bonkers over it. If there was some of it sliced in the refrigerator he must have been able to smell it because he’d do a vigil at the fridge waiting for the door to be opened.
