What Google Gadgets do you have?

How about this one?

It’s much bigger than the one I recommended. Turns out I have it (Google Clock) on my Opera browser, and I don’t know which of the two clocks I like better.

Please don’t ask me about Opera browser. It’s all Italian to me.

Does no one else find all that stuff distracting and too slow to load (on the days when your connection is less than ideal)? I loaded mine up with some cool stuff, but I keep changing back to the regular Google page.

But in the spirit of the OP, I have the beach theme, and cat and dog pictures, and a fortune cookie, and the NatGeo POD.

I have about:blank :frowning:

So far, no problems with speed. Not distracting either, since Google’s my Home Page, and I spend little time there.

May I ask why?

Don’t like the clutter?

Doesn’t all this iGoogle crap just detract from the Google ideal of having pretty close to a blank white page with a search box? Why would you want to fill up the page with clutter?

Install the Google Clock that I linked to a few posts up, stay with it for a day or two and then come back and tell us how you hate the clutter.

To me, it’s cheery as hell—for now, that is. Maybe I’ll get rid of it later, but at the moment I really like it. And I value the TPM links to help me stay abreast of the news, even though I get the NYT delivered and the Times Digest downloaded.

Take a moment to smell the roses now and then, Colophon.

Pretty much. I don’t really see the point of using the regular Google page as my homepage since I can search from the browser search box anyway- plus, like a Great Depression survivor who remained a tightwad through 1966, I still browse like somebody might call my house and knock me off AT&T Worldnet at any moment.

I don’t see the point. There’s a clock in the bottom right-hand corner of my screen where it is unobtrusive, and I wear a wristwatch. All I want on my Google page is the search bar, and maybe an interesting twist on the Google logo every now and again.

I had the clock a while ago, then I realized it just meant longer loading time when I have a clock 5" down at the corner of the screen anyways.

I have the “Tree Frog” and “Fish” gadgets, plus “Quotes of the Day”.

The old youtube gadgets that they try to push on you just added like 15 seconds to my google load time, so that went out the window fast. Not to mention the featured videos in it were usually made by some stupid 15 year old kid who continously posts response videos for whatever the hell they felt they needed to respond too.

I have Google Trousers.

Must make searching for the keys in your pocket pretty straightforward.

You’d think so, but every time I try it, I get:

Buy KEYS on ebay
Compare prices for KEYS on Dealtime
24 Hour emergency locksmiths
Plus a list of all the keys in everyone else’s pockets.
