Apparently there was some sort of incident on Anderson’s show in 1997. Everything I’ve googled up, including a Bee Gees interview, all discuss it in vague terms assuming you already know.
I can’t remember the exact transcript, but Anderson was pretty scathing to them, culminating (I think), in Maurice saying something along the lines of “we have produced a lot of hits” and Anderson riposting “well, they end in hit, anyway” (i.e. they’re shit). They took offence (somewhat understandably), removed their mics and walked off stage.
I’ve found a reference to what I assume is the incident in question (there can’t be more than one can there?)
It seems clive said the BeeGees called themselves ‘Les Tosseurs’, and then said '“Well you’ll always be tossers to me,”.
