I mean, it was always a bit on the preachy side in the first season, but at least it had some good storylines. This season it’s been sermons wall-to-wall without even an interesting plot to leaven them. Plus the most interesting character has been absent so far this season (that being Judge Attalah Sims) and when did the public defender and his wife get back together? Last I remember she’d chucked him out and changed the locks.
I have no idea, I only watched the first few episodes. I really, really wanted to like it because Alan Arkin is IMHO one of the best actors working today but I found it unbearable. Frankly I’m surprised it’s still on.
