I finally got around to watching the Tony Awards, after recording them last night. I was scanning through, stopping whenever Hugh Jackman* was on stage, when suddenly my jaw dropped at the sight of Christopher Reeve spear bald!
What’s up with that? Some medical treatment made his hair fall out? The aging process has sped up? Anyone know anything?
*And speaking of hair…Hugh, I love you, you’re a gorgeous being, and I know you only have your hair that long for Van Helsing, but for god’s sake, get yourself a scrunchie! My husband and I must have two dozen between us; you’re welcome to have any or all of them! Yeesh!
Combination of a bad reaction to medication and, probably, stress.
He’s mentioned it once or twice in interviews. Actually, it didn’t all fall out, he was left with scraggly crappy stuff - so he probably had his head shaved to make it look neater.
He has also had some treatments that consist of minor shocks to his nervous system. There have been some encouraging results, with just a little restore movement. Possibly he had to have electrodes attached to his scalp or something. That could be part of it.
