I don’t usually ask local questions, but my mother and I have been wondering about this. Does anyone from Michigan, or elsewhere, know what happened with Mark Gelman on WMUZ radio? He hosted “On the Mark”, their big talk show. He just disappeared! This happens on the radio sometimes, but I want to know!!
Did he move somewhere else or was he fired or both? Anyone???

Thanks. So what was his beef with the station. He says that the people are on to what WMUZ is doing, the way they are changing, and that listeners are leaving in droves. What’s that about?
It means that when he solicits a new client in his PR career, he wants them to believe that he left a dying radio station rather than have them believe that a radio station going through normal restructuring threw out a failing performer.
(He may be correct that the station is making mistakes that result in a falling listenership–or his show might have gotten stale and the listeners were leaving him in droves. I don’t really know the story, but my first paragraph describes the spin he is giving to his departure.)
