A few months ago the power at my house went out. After it came back on, my brand new TV no longer worked (apparently, the circuit board was fried or something, according to the Repair guy), my GameCube no longer turned on, and my Xbox started having an odd problem.
Thankfully, Samsung replaced the TV with a newer (and much nicer) model as it was still within warranty and the GameCube’s no big deal as I had a spare. Interestingly, both of those two devices suffered from the same problem: They wouldn’t stay on. It seemed like they wanted to come on (power lights flickered), but nothing ever happened.
However, the Xbox is a whole different story. It turns on just fine, and the sound comes through my sound system just fine (the sound system surprisingly made it through the power outage ordeal just fine); however, there’s no picture at all. I tried multiple A/V cables, so that’s not the problem, and the ports on the TV work just fine.
Does anyone know what might have caused this?
