Okay, I’ve been away from CSI for awhile, so I dropped back in tonight … meh, the whole dinner in the dark thing was, I dunno, too “the butler did it.” But at the very end of the show, Sara Sidle showed up, stitched, splinted and bandaged. What the hell did I miss?
What happened to Sara? The miniture killer. Do you really want us to spoil this episode?

I missed the episode where she got injured, so I presumed Grissom just got tired of her mouth and gave her a smack-down to put her back in her place.
This enhanced my enjoyment of last night’s episode immensely.
I guess last night’s episode was a re-run, according to the episode guide I found. I had to go way back to the beginning of the season to find it. I remember the miniatures, but vaguely. I didn’t really get to see that episode.
If this is the case then this explains why I also was very confused. I assumed this was the first appearance of Sara after she left in the cab and said goodbye to Grissom in a note. She comes back, their relationship is the subject of human-resources-scrutiny, and, wtf is up with her injuries, and hey, didn’t she quit the show entirely?
Ok, so this ep was from before she left. I don’t think I ever saw how she was injured by the miniature killer. Wasn’t the miniature killer an autisitic woman or something? It’s been so long.
I’m gonna put all this under spoiler tags, even though the episodes have already aired, because looks like some of you haven’t seen them. Below is my best recollection of what happened to Sara, may not be complete it has been awhile:
The miniature killer, at the end of last season, kidnapped Sara and stuck her under a car in the desert after she attacked her. Sara almost got away at one point, pretty good fight. The miniature killer chick was the daughter of that old guy who shot himself on the webcam, the original suspect - she took Sara to get back at Grissom, who she blamed for her father’s death. While under the car the desert flash flooded and it was all dramatic like. She did get out from under the car, injured, and proceeded to walk through the desert. The CSI team figured out that the mini killer had her, and went to her creepy ass apartment, Grissom yelled at her too I think. He also confessed his love of Sara to the team, finally. Nick I think was the one that figured out where she was, and she was saved. Early this season a new CSI chick starts and Sara mentors her once she comes back to work. But Sara seems off. Grissom seemed busy/preoccupied too. Sara keeps getting worse, becoming more and more disillusioned with the job. But we keep getting cute moments between her and Grissom, and while in a beekeepers suit, he asks her to marry him, and she says yes. But finally she decides to leave. She pens Grissom a letter, not telling him where she is going but that she needs to deal with some stuff from the past (presumably her mom killing her dad thing) and needs to get away from Vegas. She kisses him in the middle of the lab after she leaves the note on Grissom’s desk, but before he knows it’s there. Then you see her driving away in a cab while she narrates the letter, intercut with scenes of Grissom. I kinda got annoyed with the show after she left because I loved the thing with her and Grissom, but I remember him obviously being off/sad after she departed. But I haven’t seen the last few episodes.
Yeah that is rambling and I may have forgotten something, but that’s the basics of what happened to Sara.
