What Happened to TheHouston Chronicle's Comic Section?

I used to go to the Houston Chronicle and they had a great selection of comics. They still do but I haven’t been there in over a month.

It used to be you could select your favorite comics then simply bookmark it. The Chronicle would remember what you had chosen and you’d pull up the bookmark and it would give you all your favorite comics in one convenient place.

Now this is gone. Or is it?

Is there a way to do this? Or a better place to get comics for free?

They dropped the old ‘select and bookmark’ page a while back, I remember getting an email about it as part of my subscription. My wife still gets the Sunday paper.

They said there was going to be a replacement, but I reviewed my reading list and realized I wasn’t reading them anymore, or were reading ones that were available elsewhere, so I never bothered following up.

A quick search didn’t show anything, so imagine they made it cryptically hard to find, if they ever released it at all. That would be typical.

They changed the software used to handle their online publishing. The new software no longer had the book mark type functionality in it. The large selection of comics is still available at http://www.chron.com/entertainment/comics-games/.

They made an announcement at the time of the software change. I suspect that there was not much of an incentive to keep the old functionality as it limited page clicks and advertising opportunities.
