I’m doing a couple of drafts this weekend, and I was wondering what happens during a typical FF playoff, particularly to the players on teams who didn’t make the playoffs. Is there a lock on drops/waivers?
Fantasy Football playoffs are usually weeks 15 and 16 of the regular NFL season.
Oops misunderstood. The teams not making the playoffs usually have their rosters locked in my league.
Yes I think that we had a lock on our trades the last week or so of the season. I would guess this keeps your buddies from having good players if they end up in last just giving them to you.
Yes. The league manager should be looking out for it anyway. Quitters drag down a league enough without trading away all their talent for dirt cheap because they got off to a 0-4 start. ![]()
Some leagues let players veto trades via vote, though I’d imagine that brings up a whole bunch of other possible abuses.
Of course, the one thing you have to be on the lookout is when NFL teams rest their starters during the last game or so. The Colts do this almost every year and the Cardinals did it their last year as well.
