I’ll let you know. My brother has lived (illegally, since this was 65 year+ housing) with my mom his whole life and now that she has passed he has to find a place to live by the end of this month. Should be interesting.
My aunt and uncle are in their 80s. They have eight kids. #7 has some kind of mental disorder, I’m not sure what exactly… he’s slow, for lack of a better word. He’s also an alcoholic. As far as I know, he’s never held a job higher than the caliber of flipping burgers. He’s never moved out of his parents’ house for more than a few months at a time. He’s 46 years old.
I have no idea what’s going to happen to this cousin when his parents pass on. The other seven kids are all successful, have their own lives and families. My aunt and uncle have money, but it’s going to be split eight ways. I’ve also heard that the other seven siblings have some resentment towards #7. I doubt they’ll let him just keep the house.
This is entirely speculation on my part, but I’m wondering if he will bounce from sibling to sibling, hoping they’ll take him in. Maybe some of them will, for a while. I just don’t see things ending well for this guy.
They’re mocked by William Shatner on SNL?
