What have you had more of, jobs or SOs?

Just a silly mundane little poll that popped up in my head. You can use your own terms for what constitutes a job or a significant other.

I’m thinking the results are gonna be kinda obvious, but I guess I’d just like to see how society is nowadays…or something.

ETA: I made it a private poll in case the topic was sensitive for some people.

Assuming you have to be 18+ to qualify, then I’ve had only two SOs, and one might not count because it was for 3 days. I started dating my husband when I was 19 so I didn’t have much time to hook up with other guys. I’ve had far more jobs than that.

I lost track of the number, for both.

I thought about that, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the youngins will definitely have more SOs or anything; heck, you can start work at the age of 14 in some places, probably even earlier in others (well, legally, or as a casual job). On the flip side, people could just be very…outgoing and have had one very supportive job.

Works both ways, in theory.

It really depends on what you consider “jobs” and what you consider “Significant Others” for me… haha…

I voted for jobs > SO’s, but in reality, it’s kind of fuzzy.

More jobs than SOs, but I don’t consider everyone I’ve dated to be a SO. I do consider every different employer to be a job.

7 jobs, 0 SOs.

If I count nannying/babysitting as a single job, and not each family as one, then I’m at 7, I think. About the same as my significant significant others.

3 SOs that matter - well, one that really matters! - and two jobs, one in college, and one in ‘real life’. So in a few years I’ll probably sit on the other side of the scale, since I’m not planning on acquiring any more SOs in the near future.

I voted jobs; of SOs I have really only had three or four. I have dated many more women, but I would not rally count them as SOs. Jobs, I have had maybe a dozen worth noting.

My wife is the only one who was ever even close to being a SO. Of jobs, well only counting those after I finished my education, I’ve had two though they were really the same job at two different universities.

If you want to count jobs during/before college and graduate school or consulting jobs since, then jobs wins big time.

Well, I’ve had exactly zero of each. So I guess that means that they’re equal.
