Assuming you have to be 18+ to qualify, then I’ve had only two SOs, and one might not count because it was for 3 days. I started dating my husband when I was 19 so I didn’t have much time to hook up with other guys. I’ve had far more jobs than that.
I thought about that, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the youngins will definitely have more SOs or anything; heck, you can start work at the age of 14 in some places, probably even earlier in others (well, legally, or as a casual job). On the flip side, people could just be very…outgoing and have had one very supportive job.
If I count nannying/babysitting as a single job, and not each family as one, then I’m at 7, I think. About the same as my significant significant others.
3 SOs that matter - well, one that really matters! - and two jobs, one in college, and one in ‘real life’. So in a few years I’ll probably sit on the other side of the scale, since I’m not planning on acquiring any more SOs in the near future.
I voted jobs; of SOs I have really only had three or four. I have dated many more women, but I would not rally count them as SOs. Jobs, I have had maybe a dozen worth noting.
My wife is the only one who was ever even close to being a SO. Of jobs, well only counting those after I finished my education, I’ve had two though they were really the same job at two different universities.
If you want to count jobs during/before college and graduate school or consulting jobs since, then jobs wins big time.
