What I just added to my Netflix Instant queue

I know there is another Netflix Instant queue thread, but I didn’t want to hijack that one.

Anyhoo… just added all 8 season of Family Guy and all 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1.

Never quite understood the purpose of the Netflix instant queue. My spouse just sits down uses my login and finds something she wants to watch. She never uses a queue.

And while we are on Netflix instant viewing what is the point of that box they sell or WII or whatever? My spouse just plugs the laptop into the side of the TV and watches.

I don’t use the queue for that either, janeslogin.

I just added The Lion King but it’s in my saved queue because it’s apparently not available. Grr. Stupid Disney vault.

I have a wireless keyboard and mouse, and prefer just to have the mouse on the couch with me when I’m Netflixing. If I put stuff that comes up as suggested viewing into the Instant Queue, then I only have to click around to get it later. That way I can leave the keyboard on the coffee table, and don’t have to actually type anything to get to what I want to watch next.

I also like to just have all seasons of whatever shows listed together, and movies separated.

Because “I feel like watching something” doesn’t always coincide with “I have the time/patience to slog through a giant listing of thousands of movies/TV shows”.

My PS3 is hardwired to my internet with a decent-but-not-great download speed. My laptop is connected wirelessly to the internet, further slowing that process down.

When I’m using the instant viewing via my laptop, browsing is an option. When I’m using instant viewing thru my low end Blu-Ray player, I can only select from my queue. Depending out your access methodology, the queue can be very important.
