How many DVD's are in your Netflix queue?

There’s an old thread about this but I’m not into resurrecting zombies and I wanted to make it a poll (because I like polls).

For polling purposes (and because Netflix counts them this way) you can count all of the disks in multiple-DVD-sets like TV series seasons separately.

0 DVDs, 354 in Instant.

If you count my parents profile, which is still technically on my account, then there are 10 DVDs.

Most of mine are not movies; they’re TV series that ran for several seasons.

44 DVDs, 21 Instant.

51 in the DVD queue and 29 in the instant queue.

Of course, most of what we’ve watched on Netflix recently hasn’t been in our queue at all. It’s been a case of ‘let’s see what we can find in Instant Watch that looks good’, while the queue mostly just sits there. And I really can’t remember the last time we watched a NetFlix disc. We should probably switch to an ‘instant only’ subscription, but there’s so much stuff that is only available on DVD. Of course, we never actually *watch *any of those, but we still have the option.

Over 200 in both. I’ll often add a dvd to the queue after reading about it in a Cafe thread or hearing about it elsewhere. The instant queue keeps getting changed every month as Netflix adds and deletes streaming content.

Oversold the instant Q a bit–checking, it looks like I’ve got 90 in the Q proper, with another 69 that’ve been shifted to the ‘saved’ section as netflix has lost the streaming rights. I rather wish things would drop out of the instant queue automatically after watching, but no matter. 298 in the main DVD Q, with another 12 saved. I spent more time than I care to admit during my first year of law school looking through Netflix’s recommendations and queuing whatever looked interesting; I’ll never get through all of them, I think.

We dropped our Netflix because we were returning too many unwatched movies. At the time, we had about 40-50 movies in the queue.

I have both my DVD and Instant Watch queues maxed out at 500 apiece.

247 in Q, 100 in instant Q.

Huh. I didn’t know there was a limit.

Only 4, actually. I have a three-month gift membership, but the way the movies lag sometimes annoys me so that I’m hesitant to do more. Is it some configuration error?

  1. We have two queues, my wife’s being the one with access to instant, not that we queue that.
Most of mine are TV series. I could easily have more, but it is depressing to be too backed up. I add a season of one show when I finish the previous season.

We just got the instant-only plan as a gift, and I’d guestimate that there are 2 dozen movies/tv shows in the queue. Apparently you can add a lot more than I would have imagined, though.

I have 15 or so DVDs and 4-5 instant. I Think the instant and DVD queue have the same movies.

There always exactly 50 in my rental queue. I keep a separate list outside of Netflix of things I would want to rent in the future.

Why do I do this? No clue. When I started my account back in 2001, I didn’t want to overwhelm it, and have kept it like that ever since.

200 in my DVD queue and 150ish in my instant. I am in the habit of adding things as the mood strikes me (the other day I added a bunch of Michael Caine movies from pre-1980 that I have never seen) sort of as a way of reminding myself that I was interested in the subject at one point. Because of this my queue is full of lots and lots of movies, some of which have been on there for years, some of which I can’t remember why I added them. But I will always have sometime heading my way and I am always fairly sure it should be good, even if I don’t remember what it is or why I added it.
