How many DVD's are in your Netflix queue?

191 DVD’s, 217 Instant. 1618 rated.

I don’t understand why you didn’t keep them until you watched them?

I have 65 in my DVD queue, mainly because we use it for TV shows that aren’t available for instant. I think we only actually have 4 or 5 movies in there.

The instant queue has 56 but would be a hell of a lot more if they were broken down into disks, seasons, episodes, whatever, the way the disk queue is. We have a lot of TV shows in there with multiple seasons but I also have a lot of movies on the list. We had a lot more on there until 12/31 but we got rid of the ones that were going away on 1/1.

I love Netflix. My boyfriend and I use it for the TV shows, Anime, and Scifi - the stuff we really like but cable never airs anymore. Actually, we’re probably going to be getting rid of cable soon. The money we’d save from getting rid of cable will cover both our WoW accounts and Netflix - 2 things we use a hell of a lot more than cable.

What if you have a sudden urge to see American Pie but you can only have 3 DVDs at a time and sitting there next to the TV are Cries and Whispers, Last Year at Marienbad, and Lawrence of Arabia? Do you sit through one of those, or do you send it back to quickly get a comedy in your greedy little hands?

125 DVD, 190 Instant.

I have 411 in my instant queue. It’s shared with my girlfriend but it’s mostly my picks. I will sit down and start browsing, and 45 minutes later still be at it. More than I will watch for sure, and many are removed from instant before I have a chance to watch them. I really only watch 3 or 4 movies a week at most.

:DI thought I was the only one who did this!

I spend way more time looking for stuff than actually watching stuff. In fact, I browse every day and add something to either queue every single day but haven’t actually watched anything for weeks.

65 in my Netflix queue, but 15 of those haven’t been released yet.

The point of the DVD queue is to sequence the movies that get sent after one is returned.

But what’s the point of an instant queue? You can watch any (online) movie on Netflix anytime, whether it’s in the queue or not, no matter how many others are watching it at the same time.

It’s a “to watch” list of things you want to see.

So it’s just an online notepad? Performs the same function as a paper notepad on your desk with “To Watch” at the top? Yet Netflix can see it?

Your instant watch list will also show up on your Roku, PS3, TivoHD, iPhone, etc. Just pick the title you want to watch and away you go. Saves you from searching if you just want to watch something you’ve already selected. The TivoHD doesn’t search or browse Netflix, all you get is the instant watch queue.

Yes Netflix can see it, it’s on their servers. That doesn’t bother me but I wish they would quit keeping a history what I’ve already watched.
