Here is the iPod marketing if M$ made it.. This video made the viral rounds and everyone thought it must have been a spoof. It turns out that M$ marketing itself made the video for internal use to demonstrate their own stuggles with overuse of stars, stickers and graphics.
OK, that was pretty darned funny. Not being one to pay all that much attention to marketing, I hadn’t really noticed that tendency on the part of Microsoft before, and how starkly it stands in contrast to Apple’s approach. By pushing their own self-acknowledged tendencies to the edge, Microsoft made quite a funny little video.
They’re being too hard on themselves. I like that simple, professional, yet info-rich Microsoft look. Apple seems like it’s trying too hard to be cool. But then what do I know, since it seems to be working for them.
