What if Satan Repented?

Or, y’know, put an angel with a flaming sword to guard it before Adam and Eve could get at it.

Speaking, however, as a big Dante fan, I give Christianity fullest marks for high drama! The Divine Comedy makes up for a lot of the sins of the faith!

That’s what happens when a narrative is built over centuries by many people.

Why did God create this world at all? It’s obviously second-rate work at best.

He’s messed it up twice so far but, y’know, third time’s the charm. As far as the OP is concerned, I don’t recall seeing anything in the Bible about avoiding prophecies by changing your ways, so if your sect interprets it so that Satan gets his ass handed to him at the end of the book then, by hook or by crook, that is what is going to happen. For Satan to repent would be just as bad a rebellion against God as the first one.

Wasn’t this covered in the Kevin Smith documentary Dogma? That if a cast-out angle was suddenly redeemed, that would mean God is fallible and the universe would come to an end?
