Ridiculous! I’ve been assured many times on this board that people like you simply don’t exist, so there’s no point in worrying about how to convince you to vote Democratic! /s
No, people like him do exist. The secret to getting their support is: give them everything they ask for, run candidates so centrist you oppose most of what they support, concede a few major issues to them, repeal a couple of progressive programs to show them how much you want them–and then they decide, nah, I’m going to vote Republican anyway.
You spotted the bit where I — and if I’m not one of the people who’s like me, I don’t know who is — voted for Biden, right?
Who has ever said there aren’t swing voters? There obviously are. If there weren’t then the Republicans or the Democrats would be guaranteed a win in every election.
As to the topic, I can’t imagine any scenario where Trump drops out. Even if he has no chance of winning, running for President is making him money. So he will keep running.
Not necessarily. It’s often just a matter of how many from each side decide to actually vote.
Depends on the swing.
A. Swing between voting and not voting.
B. Swing between Republican and Democratic voting.
I think that if Trump drops out, the GOP will win the presidential due to type B.
As for A, it certainly exists, but, normally, if turnout goes up for one party, it goes up for both.
