This seems like the right place to post this. 
They are mysterious creatures for sure.
our tubby bag of fleas and fur will pee in the box which is in a non working tub but will fling dig out enough litter to make a pile right next to the box and will poop on that and yes she digs around the box making all sorts of noise and scratch marks in the tub
and my dearly departed cat would steal pens and other writing objects and pile them in a corner … when said pile was discovered you received the pat pending look of ultimate doom and despair ™ … your days were numbered …
What is so terrible about a pat being pending? I have an Overlord right here and now demanding pats; and the expectation that this demand will be fulfilled is not causing either of us to think of doom and despair.
(yes, I know, you were probably only abbreviating patent. But that’s not the way I first read it – )
Small update. I was chatting with the neighbor over the fence a few weeks ago, and asked him about the plants. Yes, they are nettles, and he’d planted them deliberately, but they were getting away from him and he planned to remove them. Since then, he’s done so.
Hash still sits at that spot and stares at the base of the fence.
That’s it, he’s just doing it to weird me out.
My house panther will stand and curl up one paw under her, and just there. Im not sure if she thinks she’s part pointer or what.
My dearly departed Paris had his own happy dance. He’d lie down on his back, with all four paws tucked in. Then he’d roll back and forth, watching you the whole time to make sure you were paying attention.
