Apocryphally, bees are attracted to the honey glaze and may sting the baker. Delicious Bienenstich!
Not just puddings - you can get beesting/beasting cheese, too. And colostrum dishes are known by other names e.g. kalvdans in Sweden, abrystir in Iceland, junnu in India.
