Every time I run Spybot - Search & Destroy, it identifies COSMI as being among the garbage on my computer. And every time, S-S&D removes all of the garbage on my computer … except COSMI. What makes it so tough? Has anyone else encountered COSMI? Anybody know of a “magic bullet” to make it go away?
I don’t know anything about COSMI, but perhaps the file is located in your System Restore folder? If so, you can disable it if you don’t need those old restore points anymore, and the file will disappear.
Try running Spybot in Safe Mode. Sometimes it cannot remove active processes that launch automatically in normal mode.
