This is getting crazy, I had to take my email out of my profile, I posted a reply to evernewbie in the pit in webmasterusa’s thread “Please lock this thread” Now the post I replied to has the name soupy on it.
I’m getting emails from people about this thread. One , I have no idea who she is is asking me if I am accussing her of being evernewbie. It is driving me crazy ! I swear that post was written by evernewbie.
On top of that I think someone is using my name and email on the send this page to a friend option. Because the email I got asking if I was accussing her of being evernewbie seems to have been in reply to one of the emails sent when that option is used , along with something about staying off the subject, I never sent it tho. Tuba, I’m sending you these emails too. Please don’t kill me, but this has upsetr me no end. I think I’m being set up in some weird way.
Please someone explain what is happening to me, I know I not crazy. I may flame a bit, and flirt a bit, but I do try to follow the rules here.
I already emailed Lynn, since this seems to have started in the pit, but I want to bring this to your attention to and to try to nip this problem in the bud.
When you send an e-card from, for example, BlueMountain.com, the recepient(sp?) gets an e-mail that says it is from you, even though you don’t actually send any e-mail. I think you could tell from the headers where the mail actually came from if anybody could translate the headers.
I don’t think this is a bug in vB, but a feature of e-mail. It is a feature that I don’t like
OK TubaDiva, thank you. Do you want those emails ? I saved them, but didn’t send them to you. I figured you might scream if I sent you anymore emails after last week .
This is really a sad, sick, cowardly thing to do to a person. As bad as impersonating them on the board IMHO.
Thank you DDG, at least I know I’m not crazy. Well not totally anyway.
When I tried the **Email This Page to Someone! ** it put my name and email in the header.
Maybe you have one of those " Ayesha" clones with the space in front?
