I thought it was a mental tic characterized by the tendencies to retreat into constricted spaces, deconstruct one’s food, and compulsively declare one’s “goodness”.

Ptosis, miosis, anhydrosis and emopthalmos.
i.e. droopy lid, constricted pupil, no sweating on same side of face, and prominent globe of the eye. It’s usually caused by lung cancer but other tumors in the anterior part of the chest (mediastinum) can cause it as well.
