Yeah, the sound of children playing actually does really transform one’s mood (possible exception being curlcoat). I remember this February I passed by a guy wearing a wifebeater, someone washing their car and children playing in the playground and was heartened that summer may have arrived (at all in England, rather than “early”).
Perhaps the word you’re looking for is sexism?

I would use the phrase “sexual profiling” but that sounds dirty (oh, and I call dibs on that as a band name).
I guess “gender profiling” would be the PC term for it.
