Ah, yes… The Motto. You might notice that the OP (who is a new poster, btw) stared this as a pit thread. A serious post (one in which The Motto would apply) might have been started in GQ. “It seems to me that all men are children rapers, are there statistics that bear this out? And if so, why just men?” Then the answers you wanted would probably been given. As it is I believe the answers here rise to the honesty of the accusation.
Once again, the OP sincerely believes the news stories she has been hearing are typical of what’s happening. She is not herself exaggerating what she has heard. She does not deserve your hatred. The people who deserve your hatred are the cable news channels that deliberately distort the amount of crime in the U.S. to keep their viewers in a constant state of terror so that they will keep watching. Why aren’t you complaining about the lying cable news channels (and perhaps the lying newspapers) instead of her? You do it apparently because you would rather direct your hatred to a single deluded person rather than to a greedy corporation. Use your hatred in a constructive fashion rather than just wasting it on acts of nastiness toward a single individual who can’t do anything about the bad media environment.

We do complain about the shallow, biased, incompetent media. Frequently. And it’s already been pointed out to you that if she’d wanted a debate this thread would have been started elsewhere. Why are you ignoring this? You’re doing it because you’d rather feel smug and superior rather than admit that the OP did an ill-considered drive-by post in the Pit and has no intention of participating further in this thread. Such things are worthy of mockery.
