What Is It With Women And Back Pocket Cellphone Storage Lately?

Quite honestly, I had no idea that women’s pants didn’t have front pockets. I probably should have guessed that. And I didn’t say it was the only reason. I do think it can be some kind of fashion statement though. or a status symbol type thing.

If I’m walking in a store, I often keep my cell phone in my left front pocket (I’m a big dude, and my pants come with huge pockets!), and my wife’s phone in my right front pocket, because of the absolutely obnoxious lack of pockets in women’s pants.

Hell, some of the pants she ends up with don’t even have back pockets, just a decoration that makes it look as though they might. What the hell is that about, anyway?

I don’t know. I try to choose pants with pockets, but sometimes there’s just nothing and I have to go with what’s offered.

Heck, some of the blazers I’ve ordered online don’t have pockets.

You’re funny, spidey!

The lil’wrekker has some jeans with pockets on the back that are all glitter-y and spangly. She wont wear them cause they make her butt look too skinny ( which she is). They cost a fortune too!

OK, after re-reading my OP, I can see how you would think this, but I am none of these things. I’m not over fifty nor a miosgynist, nor am I “sneak bragging” about looking at asses.

I will come right out and say that I LIKE looking at attractive women’s backsides, especially with the proliferation of yoga pants (tell me that’s not an attempt to showcase a woman’s figure…and where to put the phone then, huh?).

Again, this is a fairly recent phenomenon. Cell phones have been out for awhile and I never noticed this before…perhaps the rise and slimmer design of smartphones versus flip phones has been a crucial development in storing phones in your back pocket, along with “women’s no front pocket pants”? Where did women store their larger, bulkier phones back in the day? I’m guessing purses. And also that now since smartphones have become not only so ubiquitous but are now virtual assistants, there’s a stronger desire to keep them closer at hand. They are no longer just phones.

Anyway, I wrote my OP badly and I apologize for ruffling feathers over it. It really was not my intention.

ETA: for the men that said they in fact keep their phones in their back pockets, I was in no way implying that you were women or gay. Or anything. I only said that I’ve never seen it. I still haven’t.

Yoga pants sexy? I thought they more close to p.j.s? I am so clueless, I guess

A lot of women pants are being made with no front pockets ! I keep my cell phone in my front pocket b/c if it fell out of my back pocket I may not hear it hit the ground.

Since the dawn of flat cell phones, some males and females have kept them in their back pockets. Do you keep your phone in your front pocket so people will look at your dick?

It’s almost exclusively women, which is why I asked in the first place. And yes…I have a tattoo of a butt on my butt, eyes on my eyelids and of a cock on my cock. I also keep a picture of my cock as my wallpaper just in case butt-carrying cellphone sex bomb moms are interested.

There’s some discussion that younger women are less likely to buy handbags or carry purses than older women. But frankly, when reading about it, I have a difficult time discerning how much is how much women carry purses v. how much they spend on (one or multiple) designer purses. I don’t actually recall the majority of teens/college students carry purses while at school when I was in high-school/college. Leave it in the locker or car, and go fetch if needed, I guess. I always carried mine, and it didn’t seem like most did. But no one wants to be away from their phones that long now, I guess. And they do a lot more than cell phones did when I was in college. I mean, back when I had a non-smart phone, I only pulled it out twice a day - once to turn it on in the morning, and once to turn it off when I got home from work. My smart phone only gets turned off when I got to sleep, and it gets used much more often.

Certainly the joke about the purse size difference of a young woman v. an older (middle-aged mother of three) woman is pretty old.

I’m a woman, and I shop very carefully for pants with front pockets and ALSO pay a taylor to enlarge all of my front pockets so they are deep enough to hold my phone…
Women’s clothes are made with inadequate pockets. I guess it’s supposed to be slimming, or show off your figure. But it’s effectively impossible for a person with female-shaped hips to buy pants that both fit and have front pockets that hold today’s cell phones.

What about guys carrying their chewing tobacco or dip tins in the back pocket? Pretty common to see and very noticeable, even when the tin isn’t actually in there because it wears a circle into the denim.

Oh god, STOP

Oh God what? It’s shameful to admit being attracted to women and their figures now?

I have not read the thread but just wanted to point out that I am a guy and sometimes I keep my phone in my back left pocket. It’s a large Galaxy Mega that is uncomfortable to keep in my front pocket sometimes if I am wearing jeans and driving or any time I am riding my bike. So It’s not just women.

So have women!!.

( Safe for work )

I live in a neighborhood that has a fairly high Muslim population. First time my Dearly Beloved™ and I saw a woman wearing full Hijab with her cell phone resting handlessly and snugly against her head, she expressed a moment of envy. But just a moment.

Never occurred to me that women would tuck their cell phones back their to draw people’s attention to their bottoms. Holy moley- they have no front pockets most of the time !! Is this really so alluring??

Why not hop on the new trendy fashion wagon- women’s cargo pants with pockets.

My God, maybe you should take a class in how to not sound like a pig. Because you don’t seem to be able to stop by yourself.

“Pack”? Plenty of men are saying that Fois Gras is being silly about this, too. In fact, have any other men at all expressed the same sentiment?

On the topic of impractical pockets, I once saw a woman wearing a shirt with a pocket about the size of a quarter. I’m not sure what one would be expected to carry in such a pocket, or, if nothing, why one would even include it on the garment to begin with.
