WHAT IS IT!?!?!?!

Maglev scooters.

Flying cars.

Those are two of the possibilities I’ve seen discussed on Slashdot.

Several things about IT are throwing me. The main one is that it’ll cost under $2000, if it indeed does. Thus it must be cheap to make. This also makes me think that it’s made of some new material, something really different. With names like “Metro” it also makes me think that it has something to do with transportation. But that might just be a code name to throw people off of what IT is. But, this statement:

again makes me think it has something to do with an alternate transportation method & alternate fuel (“environment”). But what it is for certain is another matter entirely.
This could also mean that it is just an alternate fuel/energy source for cities. This would also make sense with retrofitting campuses, etc. for IT.
Whatever IT is, it better live up to the hype.

All I can think of is IT, the giant brain that controlled a whole race of people, in A Wrinkle in Time. :shudder:

Dammit Enderw24 I was getting ready to make a joke about the Stephen King book, but you cut me off at the knees!

My 2 cents: IT is probably some new type of energy source or storage device. I hope IT lives up to all of the publicity!

I’d just like to say a hearty fuck you to you all for getting that Faith No More song stuck in my head.

And what the hell IS it?

Yes that solotrek thing was what I was talking about. Wouldnt one of those be SO fun? I want one.

This reminds me of a riddle…

How do you keep an bunch of idiots in suspense?

Sorry, won't work. All those little alligators kids brought back from Florida and flushed down toilets in The Bronx in the '50s have mutated into huge blind albino alligators that live in the sewers. They ate the clowns.

Film at 11.

I keep wondering if they’re going to get Clara Bow to do the advertising for them.

AAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!

Found this on the Discussion boards on MSNBC:

Along with the fact that Kaman was responsible for the invention of the first drug infusion pump and later creating the first portable insulin pump and dialysis machine, it makes it a bit more believable!!!

AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Then again…

Can anyone make sense of this post in the MSNBC Discussion boards?

Someone mentioned something about IT being a new toilet…

My prediction is that it will be a Toynbee Convector.

Prepare to be dissappointed, folks.

There’s no way that whatever this turns out to be can possibly fulfill the build-up it’s being given.

But to architect a city around it? That had better be one hell of a personal pleasure device.

Well, instead of building giant amuzement parks…they’ll be pleasure parks!

Uhhhh, well…a guy can dream, can’t he?

My prediction: A Rocketpack. Ha Ha Ha

Here is some more news on It.

They’re saying they think it might be a scooter.
