What is said in this video?

Well, I have a serious problem with understanding what is said in some spoken English (I am not native though)

Normally, I have no intention of asking every word or every group of words, that I hear in videos, on the forums. Because no one would want to waste his time doing this silly thing for me, as long as they’re not paid for it  Perhaps, in future, I might consider paying someone to check my scripts. By creating scripts, I might improve my ear for English.

Anyway. I am really frustrated because I can’t fathom out what’s said in this video below.

Would you please help me in filling “…” parts above?

00:00 - 00:13
We feed of your fear nephalem. We can feel … tormented soul within us. We … her screams.
1:16 - 1:27
*Once this was a shining … silver city. All heaven’s fallen into my corruption. *
2:29 - 2:45
When you die, so will too all men. You … nephalem. You’ve been here before … nightmares. Welcome to the Realm of Terror.
3:19 - 3:23
Heaven rocks/wracks(???) in our shadow. (rocks or wracks?)

Many thanks

I’m usually not very good at this, so don’t take my transcription as gospel, and I can’t get some of the words. Also, I don’t understand the reference to “Nephalem,” probably because I don’t know the story behind this.

But here’s what I have:

“…We can feel Lea’s tormented soul within us. We relish your screams.” (Is Lea a character?)

“…a shining beacon of the silver city…”

“…You’ve been here before in your nightmares…”

“Heaven rocks in our shadow…”

This is a helluva way to learn English!

Wow, video game dialogue really is the lowest form of art, eh? To call that corny would be an insult to corn.

Anyway, **Musicat **has it covered, except for the “You … nephalem” bit. I think it is “Feel familiar, nephalem? You’ve been here before… etc.”

I think that’s ‘Nephilim’. As in “there were giants in those days”, etc.

Are you saying this in all seriousness or should I seek irony?

No irony on this occasion, no. Video game dialogue (or monologue, as this may technically be) is generally rubbish.

Somebody set up us the bomb.

We can feel Leah’s tormented soul within us. We relish her screams.

Once this was a shining beacon of the silver city.

When you die, so too will all men. Feel familiar, nephalem? You’ve been here before in your nightmares.

Heaven rots in our shadow.
Leah is a major NPC in the game. Nephalem is the correct spelling in the game; it’s referring to Nephilim, but it’s not quite the same. In theory, all humans in the diabloverse are Nephalem, although only humans badassed enough to get a game based on their lives get called that.

These games don’t have subtitles? I don’t think I’ve played a game that didn’t. I’d think that things with subtitles would be a great way to practice your language listening skills.

It does, but that youtube clip didn’t include them.
