There is a Target commercial currently running in which an attractive woman is assisted in wrapping presents by movie Iron Man; a large treeish thing; and movie Spider-Man. It ends with the woman saying “This hero stuff is easy” as she carries one present to the Xmas tree while the treeish-thing carries many more. I assmume the treeish thing is from some sort of video game, but what is it?

According to one of the comments, the tree dude is from the video game Skylanders.

What are these “comments,” of which you speak?
(“Youtube options for Google Chrome”, though I’m sure you can find a similar extension for any browser that doesn’t completely suck.)
I still find it worthwhile to wade into the quagmire of Youtube comments on occasions like this, when I want to know more about the video.
For example, further reading of this video’s comments have informed me that the wooden giant’s name is Tree Rex, and that the lovely woman in the commercial is the daughter of Donna Summer.
That’s what I keep y’all around for.
