What is the most awesome stupid movie?

Beerfest

In what way is DS stupid??? It’s good silly fun and a brilliant satire, but stupid it ain’t!

XXX - Vin Diesel as an X games action hero super spy
Omega Man - Charlton Heston saving the last of humanity from evil albinos
Soylent Green - “It’s people!”

Dumber than the first two

Never heard of Bunraku, which is surprising based on its cast. It looks like Sin City mixed with Sucker Punch, slow filtered through Dick Tracy.

It is a little dated, but I think Meet the Feebles qualifies. Groan inducing in its stupidity, especially as it drags on, but awesome in its audacity.

How about Super Troopers? The first time we watched it, my wife suggested it was too dumb to keep watching. Before it was over, she laughed so hard she actually and literally fell off the couch.

Good choice. One of my favorite comedies ever. Probably my favorite scene, though there’s plenty of other contenders.

I’m thrilled that I get to be the first to mention the shimmering, golden turd that is Battleship.

Saw it with my best buddy, and we were both in stitches throughout. Even though the theatre was nearly empty, it was plenty loud with hoots and cheers. The scene where the WW2 vets are standing tall on the deck and guns of the Mighty Mo’, and then it segues into AC/DC’s Thunderstruck surprisingly drew a pumped fist and a loud, genuinely appreciative “Fuck yeah!” out of me. I’ve seen hundreds of movies in the cinema before, and I’ve never reacted anything like that to any other film, before or since.

I’ll throw in for Mars Attacks as well.

Same reason I liked Talladega Nights so much! One of our cats had, ah, plumbing issues for a while, and The Other Shoe and I started calling him Mr. Pee-Pants. “I’m still sittin’ in mah pee pants!”

I nominate The Cape Canaveral Monsters for two reasons. The first is the way that the lady monster keeps complaining about having to sew the other’s arm back on. The second is all the semi-mountainous rocky badlands surrounding Cape Canaveral, where the monsters hole up in a cave.

If you can dodge a thread, you can dodge a ball.

All of the Transporter movies and The Run Down
Two of my favorite movies, but the definition of mindless entertainment

Sorry but I just tried to watch it and couldn’t get through 10 minutes without getting pissed off. I stuck it out as long as I could but at 45 minutes I’m convinced that this is the most insufferable piece of shit I’ve ever seen. The narration is so out of place and pointless that this flick would be better on mute.
Rotten Tomatoes rating of 19% is generous.

Young Guns, Days of Thunder, and Johnny English.

The Naked Gun trilogy.

Endless dumb jokes and cringeworthy lewdness elevated by a phenomenally skilled comedic cast that absolutely threw themselves into every scene. Best of all, they made sure to spread the wealth. It was never just raunch, or just slapstick, or just insane stuntwork, or just idiot balling; there never was a point where I said “dear lord, make it stop”.

And Anna Nicole Smith was a much better actress than I expected.
