What is the name of a documentary/drama about the future?

Within the last couple of years I remember watching a documentary on SBS Australia. It involved some actors such as a boy with a AI shark friend, and an old man who is a bit of a hacker. The show had a flying ambulance and the shark AI infected TV screens that were on buildings. The old man had to go to some kind of library I think where information was stored on a kind of cube.
Thanks!

That’s the movie Johnny Mnemonic starring Keanu Reeves. It was totally a documentary.

Moving to Cafe Society.

It’s a documentary produced by the US’s Discovery Channel called 2057. The old man was the boy’s grandfather; the sharks were a computer virus, and the boy’s mother was a cop investigating everything. The grandfather was also a hacker and suspected of causing the virus, but ended up saving the city.

There was also a segment on the future of healthcare were a young man living in Paris got into an accident, needed a heart transplant, but had his health insurance rescinded because he faked his morning urine test to coverup that he’d been drinking the night before. He ended up in the overcrowed uninsured ward with minimal care until a sympathetic doctor tricked the system into thinking he was another (recently dead) patient with Platium level insurance.

Cool thanks!

I just looked it up and you’re serious. Holy damn! It’s amazing how well JohnClay’s description (and the actual plot of the show) matches up with that cinematic tour-de-force, Johnny Mnemonic.

How is that a documentary?

They keep switching between the drama and a documentary about present-day advances, including interviews.
