A couple of years ago, I started hearing people use derogatory terms to refer to others, like “Dummy McDumbdumb” or “Fatty McFatfat” and the like. It’s occurred to me I’d never heard this reference before fairly recently.
Where did this originate? Is it from a movie?
First I recall it is from “Friends” -

Yeah, I think it was Rachel with things like “Smokey Smokerson” and stuff.
I first heard this sort of thing on Rowan Atkinson’s Blackadder series way back in the 80s.
