My money is on this Remco toy plane. I looked for a price but as far as I can tell, one has never been sold, at least not publicly.
Just remember: just because it’s rare, doesn’t make it valuable.
Leonard Nimoy.
The actual Leonard Nimoy.
It’ doesn’t seem like particularly desirable collectible. It has almost no real tie in to the show other than the photos.
Boba Fett in a TNG uniform? He keeps the helmet, of course…
Or the Yeoman Janice Rand doll. You pull the string and she says “Math is hard!”
If I understand this cite correctly, an original one will sell for $10,000. However, there are reproductions available at a reasonable price.
Why do you ask? Have you got one? Sure it isn’t the repro?
I do, and I got it as a kid so I’m pretty sure it’s original. Have the box too. However I have to question that amount. I think the dollar sign is probably a bit of toilet paper left over from when they pulled the number out of their ass. Thanks for looking it up though. I had seen that link too but missed that bit. I was scanning for sale prices and didn’t see one so I moved on.
DeForest Kelley is rarer.
No, anybody with a shovel can get one of those.
Granted, the second guy who wants one will have to pay a lot to the first guy.
I guess what I’ll do is take some hi-res shots, send a couple to the handful of places that seem to deal in stuff like this, and see if they’re actually interested. Personally I think it’s hype since I think I tried this once before and I didn’t hear zip back. So I think it’s one of those things where, as long as you think there’s no chance of one being found, ‘oh, they’re priceless.’ Really, priceless. But you could find a buyer right? Yeah sure. OK, here’s one that still has the original box. What about this one. Hey, where did he go?
I seem to recall reading that Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen bought the ***original ***captain’s chair from the 60s TV show set for like $200,000. He even loaned it out when Comedy Central roasted William Shatner for him to sit in like a throne!
My guess would be Spock’s Brain.

William Shatner’s hairpiece.
Although, there is a thriving cottage industry of mating his hairpieces with tribbles for a designer pet.
I still have my Star Trek walkie talkie communicators somewhere. No box. Melted my initials into the back of one.
Thanks. Done.
Wonder who ended up with the laser cannon (“The Cage”/“The Menagerie”), and Captain Pike’s wheelchair (“The Menagerie.”) Sean Kenney (Captain Pike 2.0) is pretty rare, so I understand.
Let us know how they respond.
I keep dreaming of finding the “treasure in the attic.” As far as toys go, I had a Batman Utility Belt from the 60’s era… it was worth big money when the first movies came out. My mom threw it our when I was in college. I had an almost complete set of first and second year “red line” Hot Wheels… my mom gave them to my cousin when I was in High School because I was too old to play with them.
When clearing out their house I did find a few of the Red Lines. Most valuable appears to be an original 'Scool Bus in very good condition. I need to find a place to take it but even then it probably isn’t worth that much. Fun to dream though.
Definitely.
Man, I hate hearing stories like that, more than I can say. I never liked this toy either so the only reason I still have is that I’m a pack rat. All you could do was stand there and have it fly around in circles - since it was tethered. And take a look at the wand - it took a bunch of D (?) batteries. You didn’t even get the dilithium crystals. Hell, I probably would have settled for plain old lithium.
You just never know what’s going end up being considered worth collecting. Nobody EVER would have guessed this I don’t think.
