What is this song? Currently on the radio, bluesy with hint of hip-hop.

I’m so ashamed that a song has slipped past me without me taking note of the artist:

The chorus of the song is a repeated “Take me home” where “home” is four distinct beats, going down the scale. It sounds like a traditional dirty bayou blues, but with a definite modern producer. The verses have something to do with returning to Louisiana, I think.

Video, which I have caught once, is mostly the guy on a Greyhound bus heading wherever home is, while playing guitar in his seat. At the end, he’s pickin’ on the porch, I believe. I remember thinking the song felt very “black” but was surprised when I saw the singer is white.

Any help?

Sounds to me like you’re talking about “When The Night Feels My Song” by Bedouin Soundclash.

BTW, they’re Canadian.

The song sounds like “Home” by Marc Broussard. Very cool tune. Broussard did a dyanamite performance of it on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” awhile back.

Gottagree with ZG here.

Yep, that’s Marc Broussard. More of his stuff here . “Home” is the first track on the page.

Yup, indeed Marc Broussard is who I was trying to remember. But a search for a song named “Home” whether on Google or Amazon, is bound to just give one a giant headache. :stuck_out_tongue:
