I have a Dell Inspiron running WinXP that I have been using for a few years now with no major problems. I prefer and use IE7 as a browser, and had little problems with it until almost a year ago.
Now I have a hard time getting pages to fully open. A lot of pages seem like they load slower, but a couple of dozen times a day the pages start to load, then stop with only parts of the page visible. I can’t scan down the page because it is not fully loaded. If I try to Reload the page, or close it and try to go to it again, it still hangs up.
This was rarely a problem - now it crops up all day long.
I tried using Chrome, and it often loads the pages that IE won’t, but it hangs up just as often now. If Chrome won’t load it, IE will, so I have to switch back and forth all day long just to get pages to load fully.
I have done all the updates, have all the relevant players loaded, run all the virus and malware procedures, so I don’t think the problem is there.
Is there some kind of new photo or video loader that has come out that updated versions of these browsers can’t handle? I can’t figure out what is different now to cause this, but it is making the internet a real pain to navigate.
I know there are other browsers out there, but IE7 and Chrome used to work just fine and I would like to continue using them.
