Aw, crap, forgot a point again - I was going to say, introvert and extrovert simply mean where you go to recharge, not how lively or social you are. My sister is an extreme social butterfly; you can’t shut her up in social situations, but she is an introvert because she goes home and reads a book when she runs out of energy. I am much more quiet, although still really liking people and socializing, and I am also an introvert, because socializing takes so much out of me, and I have to recharge before wading into the fray again. A true extrovert gets energy from being around people; I suspect they are not as common as people would have us believe.

That’s a really interesting point.

My mom is a major introvert. Hates almost all social situations and just likes staying home. She thinks I’m the biggest extrovert on the planet because I’m very outgoing and chatty and sociable. Thing is, I only really like doing that if I’m with people I’m already close to. If I’m in an unfamiliar social situation (like a party where I know maybe 3 people out of 20), I can be chatty and bubbly, but it drains me so damn quick and all I want to do is go home.

I got 24/50. I’m like zweisamkeit, in that I enjoy social situations if I know enough people there. So while I agree with the ‘do you like to go out’ type questions, I still disagree with the ‘you make new friends easily’ type questions.
